I saw a low mile original turbo regal t this weekend that is not a limited but has the little blue square on the 1/4 panel and the cornering lamps in the fender. Gray on gray bucket seat floor shift car. Guy said it was a late build car. Is that something that was supposed to be available? Seemed like an odd combo but was sure a good looking car, tucked away quietly in dry storage. 40k miles original paint. I suppose it's possible someone changed it up after the fact but it sure looks untouched.

My chromed out non-limited 87 TR had the blue 1/4 panel emblems and a regular regal nose emblem instead of the 3.8Litre hood emblem. I always wondered about that...

87 turbo t NON LIMITED despite the big chrome on the bottom. also notice the vinal top and it has the cf5 astroroof. also has bucket seats, console, digital dash,cs2,pw,pl,pt,eq radio,REALLY WEIRD CAR

My white '87 30K mile turbo Buick. No cornering lights, but wide reveal at both the bottom of the car and the window ledges, also has the blue emblems on the 1/4 panels. This car was ordered this way as I have the original paperwork.

That doesn't sound like anything out of the ordinary.
The little blue square's on the quarter isn't a limited thing ,my t has those + my grey t i owned about a yr ago had those blue things + the cornering lights also.I'll see if i can dig up the pics of the grey t.

So the limited was interior only then huh? I thought a lot of those exterior options were limited to limiteds (pun intended). Wierd.

Well, that sums up this thread. Thanks for the lesson.

I THINK THOSE PILLAR EMBLEMS WERE A CHROME TRIM THING !!! i have had about 60 of these cars and only 2 had the corner lights in the fenders! i turbo car (pictured) 1 NON turbo limited 87

THE ONLY RARER OPTION I HAVE HAD IS THE OPERA LIGHTS I ONLY EVER HAD 1 CAR WITH THOSE. 85 NON TURBO CAR

I think you are right about the blue squares being a chrome package thing, because my cream t has them + it's a chrome package car,+ so was the grey car i use to own.
Thats good to know, because now if anybody is looking at a blackout car,They know if the emblems are not there, that they are not suposed to be there.
It's another reason the chrome cars look more finished + dressed up, it's one more little ornament on the car.
It makes sense that they wouldn't be on the blackout cars because they are blue + chrome, but i never realized it was part of the chrome package. Good Info.

I didn't mean the side marker lights wern't out of the ordinary ,or rare, I just meant it wasn't out of the ordinary for a non limited car to have them, because they were not a Limited only option.

Now i also wonder if the side marker lights could only be had on a chrome package car,Not part of the chrome package, but only ordered if ithe chrome package was ordered too.
Anybody have a black out car with the side markers,i don't remember ever seeing one?

This sounds like about the same as you described, tho it's kind of rough, but all original, even the paint or whats left of it.
It was a nicely optioned car,also had a moonroof,block heater,power buckets,console,alarm,chrome package,i think twilight sentinel too.
And i was told the spoiler was dealer installed when new.

You couldn't get cornering lamps with the black out trim, not available, even on a limited.

I assume they didn't have any, or wish to make any, with black out trim.

Oh ya, Never had really given it any thought before this thread, but after thinking about it ,I figured you couldn't get the side markers without the chrome package,+ there is the proof.

Just a little jab, you will notice that the WE4 is referred to as the Turbo "T" pkg. In the Buick Lit. Just sayin'

Oh no, not this sh!t again........

Another jab, how is a car with a turbo and the "t" package NOT a "turbo t" .

LOL where's that beating a dead horse icon. :)
