We had a great time at Norwalk this past weekend, it seems as if the Buick comradery is back in full swing. We got together Saturday night with Jason White and crew,Sully, Avon and crew and several others to cruise the local scene:biggrin: and while is wasnt the greatest of places we made the best of it and had an awesome time, fun bunch of guys.
We had a tough time trying to get the TSM car to make any power and Dick Kereny offered me nearly everything he had on hand to help me out as well as taking the time to hand deliver me a ice cold glass of beer at the end of the day!Dick is a heck of a nice guy and truely genuine.
Phil McGloin returned the favor I gave him last year at this event (he handed me my ass big time in the second round and did it with a smile!!!) he has that car flying and while he admitted his downpipe welds looked like total crap, it sure didnt hurt the performance, awesome job Phil!
Ted A and Dave Bamford stopped by the pits on Friday and offered to abandon their own racing program to help us make a converter swap and offered the us the run of their parts if we needed anything.
The JCC crew took care of us from running for parts to keeping us all fed with BBQ, drinks, comedy etc etc. Artie Chin really misses alot of the event as he spends a tremendous amount of time taking awesome pictures.I also had the pleasure of meeting Bobby Don and spending some time With Brad T.
While our TSM entry was a turd, we did leave the event with the #1 Qualifier in TSO (Aaron "Avon" Thorpe) and Rich Rezes is tied for 1st in the TSO points series, Congratulations to both of you! Hope to do it again real soon.
