Just to reply to the Norwalk info, we (White Racing) ran 7.95 and 7.98 at Milan the night before at 177 MPH with Chris White driving. That was good enough to win the 10" GM High Tech Shootout and #1 Qualifier. We are told that it is the first Buick V6 power 10 inch tire car to run in the 7's. This car belongs to Jerry Kupinski which he purchased from Ray Royer after the fire in Salem Ohio.
At Norwalk we were plauged by a faulty cam sensor that we didn't find until after the race was over (naturally). It caused lots of mess'ed up passes Sunday at Norwalk. Red Armstrong was kind enough to help out after we had changed about all of the parts except the motor. Red modifies the cam sensor to operate at 8000 RPM plus in case anyone else is having the same problem.
We'll get some pictures of the 7-second runs on the website over the weekend and some of the wild explosions and crashes at the GM High Tech race.
