NOS 120 octane fuel

I was talking to our local gas guy today. He was mentioning that this spring he will be stocking 120 octane race gas put out by NOS, just wondering what the response is on this. I cant wait to try! Thanks, Mike

120 Octane? Sweet god, I run 104 occasionally and that's fine for my high boost runs.

Its actually made by VP Race fuels, Its called "VP NOS" its octane is 120.3 has a specific gravity of .699 compared to c16 which has a gravity of .733 . VP NOS is clear in color and reccomended for engines running 20:1+ compression. It has the same lead content as c16 @ 6.00%. It is basically the same as VP's AIR RACE fuel which is also 120.3 octane. These 2 fuels are currently the highest octane gasoline fuels I am aware of.

Phillips 66 markets 120 octane in the Dallas area. . Good stuff, but $8.00 gal is steap.

cause diesel fuel would cause the motor to explode in a mad display of black smoke and shrapnel?? =/ why arent they trying it?
