Ive looked all over and cant find info relevant to what I know. I was looking at some pics of turbos on gnttype, and my turbo looks alot more like a TE-45 than a 44. The prior owner said it was a 44, but he didnt buy it. It was already on the car when he had it.
My exhaust housing is A/R .63 and the compressor says A/R .60. I have a 3" inlet, and it has a staggered length fin compressor wheel. the exhaust housing doesnt say "precision" on it. The inlet has a lip on the edge and thats what got me. The TE-45 in the pics has a lip, while the 44 doesnt.
I would take pics but my wife has commandeered my camera.

Sure. Send them to paradiggim@aol.com
Im not sure if they'll help me, as they seem to look pretty similar. What is the A/R on your compressor and exhaust side, and the inlet diameter?

No idea. Just bought it and haven't even received it yet! Those are the pics I was sent. Sorry I couldn't be more help...

You really need to accurately measure the wheels to tell what turbo is on there.

Well, I doubt he has a TE45. He stated that his had a 3" inlet.
TE45's are big shaft turbo's and if memory serves they have a 4" inlet.

Hey,

Could you send me those pics of your TE44 as well, I have the EXACT same story. Guy I bought my GN from says it might be a 44, but he didnt buy it, previous owner put it on. I know TE60's look like TE44's from what i hear as well....

I have a .60 on the compressor and an .83 exhaust housing...and no "presision" on the exhaust housing.

Thanks.

Hey James...

Thanks for the pix! For some reason, mine looks bigger??? You have a very NICE, CLEAN and SHINEY new turbo there...keep it that way man!

Could ya do me a favor, what's the diameter of the compressor housing? My cold side housing looks bigger than yours...thats what is throwing me off...hmmm. Any info?? Maybe I do have a TE60 or something else?? I have been told that the TE44 do have 11 blades on their exhaust side...which you and I both do...I'm tellin ya man, this shyt is confusing!

Might just sell the damn thing and buy a TE63e and some 55's or 65's and say to hell with it, start with something I know...LOL

Any info from anyone would be greatly appreciated!

Late!
