This car had a timing gear failure. it littered the oil pan with nylon.

The timing set was replaced but the repair was not completed correctly.
The amount of nylon in the oil pan has plugged the oil pickup screen which opened the bypass flap
and nylon entered the lube pump . it then plugged the oil filter which also bypassed.

What we end up with is nylon in the oil rifles and galleys that choked off the mains.

The main and rod journals were damaged, and the indicator of a problem for the owner was the 3 oil filters the blew off

Don't put off changing your timing set. and more important if you do have a failure, pull the pan and clean the mess out....

Not even sure who did this yet, my Customer bought this car non running, with a known bad engine,
Still trying to find out some details.

We found a new timing set installed during the teardown. this mess was pretty recent.
