Oil Cooler Adapter Question

I rebult my motor but theres been disrepencies about reinstalling the oil cooler adapter on a flat tappet cam some guys say you need it and some guys say you dont or the other alternative to be safe is to get the rjc deeper oil pan and run it without out it what do you guys think?

my car is a hotair car and it doesn't come with one from the factory but in 86-87 they put it on the car.

I run the cooler on my car. I also have rjc's deep pan,Precision remote filter, and big alum radiator. I think the more oil you have and the cooler you can keep it the better.

if i remember right there was a huge post about this. alot of people take it off when they trash there motor because it sends debree into the radiator and they dont want to repalce it when they can just remove the cooler and be just fine.
