Really on the fence wheter to block the oil filter bypass.
I read some past posts about blowing oil filters that arent HD.
On the other hand the bypass being at a low 7psi doesnt that mean its always open?

What about blocking it with a restrictor?
I heard of using a dime w/ epoxy but what about a dime w/ a few small hole drilled?
Offer some relief but push most thru the filters?
My application Im running dual remote larger filters.

DO NOT BLOCK IT:eek: It will only open when the pressure differential across the filter exceeds the bypass spring pressure.

I prefere to block it. It will open at just about ANY throttle setting, 'cept maybe when it's idling hot. That's why the factory filter is so small. They knew nothing went through it anyway.;) With dual remote filters you will have plenty of flow. Just be sure to use a filter with a bypass built in. I have been running it this way for about 18 years.

Mines blocked with a good filter. I use a WIX filter with no issues. However, with that FRAM junk I lost a motor. The bad is the fact that if you use a filter that can't handle the pressure and flow it will come apart. The good is that all the oil will get filtered, with make the pump last longer and keep things out of the bearing.
