Well, I am getting super close to kicking this car in the door....regardless of whether it will fix it or not!

I installed the new motor about 2 months ago, and it has leaked ever since. I have replaced the oil pan gasket 3 times (rubber gasket, cork gasket, no gasket with goop) and I cannot for the life of me get it to seal. It drips right on the crossover and the car appears to be on fire....kinda embarassing.

Why am I getting my ass kicked by a $10 piece of rubber?

Is my best bet to pull the motor and not try to fight the engine cradle, tranny lines, and such?

If your going to kick it, kick the bumper. Its heavy steel and you'll learn your lesson quick. HAHHA. plus you wont damage the car. Maybe your oil pan is warped. Have you dont any welding or modifying to it? Is it the stock pan? I would try a different pan. I have the rubber seal and it leaks a little. Check your torque specs on that. I dont think its that high and you may be crushing the gasket too much.

Sounds like it isn't the pan gasket that leaking. Check the valve cover gasket and behind the intake.

I've got a leak on the crossover and its from the rear main seal. Double check to see where the leak is really coming from.

my oil pan gakets leaks as well. so tonight i went out to snug them up alittle and i could beilve my eyes. every bolt i could take out with my fingers. so out came the torque wrench and torqued them down to 88ich pounds. i hope my slow drip goes away. sorry im no help just figured i would post.

well, I know it isn't the valve covers....rear main or intake could be possible. What makes me think it is the oil pan is because everytime I replace the gasket, the amount and location of leak changes. I guess its time to pull it....I should have modded the GTO instead.
