Oil pump priming question

Thank you, I had the same question. I had to replace the oil pan gasket and oil pickup tube, plus re-torque cylinder heads, mains and rods. So I bit the bullet and pulled the engine out of the car. After putting the engine back in the car, I tried to prime the oiling system with a drill and apparently too much oil drained out of it. I just finished packing the pump with Vaseline and reassembling, so wanted to make sure that I knew the direction that the tool has to turn. Messing with that oil pump cover in a TTA is just awful. Crossmember is right in the way and very tight to the cover. Took me about two hours to open, pack and reassemble that pump...! I'm sure that it's much easier in a GN.
