Well I changed my injectors from stock to 868's a few months back.I had been playing around like usual with boost /fuel pressure and chips.I found that the street thrasher works best for me ,so I set the fp at 45,boost at 17-18psi and she runs real good with very minimal to no knock. One thing that has me baffled is that my oil has been smelling gassy, not like pure gasoling but with a hint of it.changed it once than started sniffing and after a couple of weeks the smell was back.I don't want to wash my cylinder walls out so what should I do?Does this sound like a bad injector dumping too much fuel?any suggestions will help.

sounds like your haveing some blow-by past the rings. time for a rebuild.

how many miles does the engine have?

it's kinda normal to have some gas smell in the oil on a turbo engine especially at the boost levels we all seem to run. You might want to replace your pcv valve with a new AC Delco. What are your BLM's at idle, cruise and wot? You may be running a little rich also. The Thrasher with it's open loop idle was always too rich at idle for my liking.

ASSUMING your Thrasher was burned for 868's and not stock injectors, you should do a compression test to see if you have any blow-by

You can have the injector flow tested and cleaned to make sure they are not the problem.

Dont tell anyone but sometimes I run my Thrashers a little less than 45psi, usually around 43. But my gauge could be off also.

Oh yeah, check you gauge's accuracy to make sure you are really running 45

I would check the chip first, injectors second.

I had leaky stockers for a couple of years on the driver, my cylinders are clean, and still happy. ;)

3K oil changes of course.

No need to panic just do methodical testing. :)

Were those injectors new or used?

gnturbo, my oil has smelled like that since i first had it rebuilt but only after it sits for a while....i run new 55lbs siemans in it.
It could be nothing...just keep an eye on any changes

Plan on changing your oil frequently. I change oil on my strip only T every time I race... I don't think you're experiencing anything unusual - injectors flow like fire hoses at WOT and yours are 30% larger than stock...

;)
