I want to add some grunt to my car. I have not dynoed it but it is mostly stock. 1987 gn. Here is what I have so far: A k/n filter in the stock housing, a tt chip, i have purchased a hotwire kit and 255lph fuel pump but i have not installed it yet, rjc power plate and a 233 fuel pressure regulator. Can the stock injectors supply that power?

With more octane and more boost, yes. The question becomes: what are you willing to add? Race gas? An alcohol injection kit? Increasing performance is really simple but you'll never make "big block" power with a V6 unless you increase the power. What you've bought so far outside of the chip are just support pieces, none will add power themselves. Still you have to have them.

Add to that a bigger turbo, bigger downpipe, bigger injectors. The fuel pressure regulator you are using is stock. A 237 is an upgrade but you really should get an adjustable regulator. And a chip for the above improvements. And an adjustable wastegate rod so you can raise the boost. And a Scanmaster so you can see the numbers. And a boost guage because your stock one is not accurate. Neither is your rpm gauge, but you will have one in the Scanmaster. Also a 160 degree t'stat.

Start with a Scanmaster and a boost guage so you will know what's going on with the engine. Learn how to read it and what those readings mean.

Then and ONLY then will you be ready to begin increasing power methodically and logically, avoiding catastrophic mistakes along the way.

Thanks for the input guys, I have a scanmaster already and tuned as per what I have read here. I think that a down pipe and exhaust will be next. I really dont and cant afford to get too radical. Maybe 300-350 to the wheels.

downpipe and some injectors would be my first choice on upgrades, that is along with a pump , hotwired and adj regulator. those few parts will go a long way .i know when i started with mine, the downpipe gave me the biggest gain on a fairly stock motor

Next steps.......begin increasing power methodically and logically, ask lots of questions....listen to very few answers.... there are guys here that can be trusted..... there a far more folks here who rank themselves "expert" builders when, in reality, they are nothing but armchair engine building blowholes.....

Be wary, be very, very wary......

I'll be the first to say I'm not a guy who can help you with real, technical, expert engine advice, I had the money, so I had mine done by a pro.

I do, however, have to laugh at some of the fools that consider themselves as "expert" here.

I learned A LOT along the way........ and it has made many of them easy to spot, but some still continue to give bogus "expert advice".

Listen and pay attention to board, you'll quickly realize who is real and who is full of S**T.

Loose the stock air box...1st. You'll notice a gain right there.

Not gonna argue 1 bit here. I can help you set up a chasis and suspension and a B4black set up but I don't tune on SFI cars for a reason. I don't have the experience with the systems as much as people like bison does. Mechanical repair has been my speciality more than electronics for 30 years now, so regular repairs aren't an issue but mods to the op systems I'm still learning.

Charlief1 would be one of the folks that would be on the "guys that can trusted" list.....

This is why this site is the best! Fellas, thank you so much for being friendly and helping a novice like myself. I have learned alot since I have owned my gn and appreciate the advice given here very much. Thank you!
