hello all: i'm trying to track down a mild part-half throttle stumbling/transitional knock problem just as it transitions from vac to boost and until the alky starts spraying (about 7psi-ish) it has plagued my car since i've had it. i bought the car with a lot of mods (and blown head gaskets to match). i originally suspected the chip was a race chip and not an alky one but i'm leaning toward a maf/translator problem. i opened the translator today for the first time to check that the dip switches were set correctly. there were no dip switches, the base knob is set at 3 and the wot knob is at zero. on the circuit board it said version 1.1 and on the decal inside the lid it said 2.2. i read the alky tuning sticky a few times and it mentions potential problems with older translators and possible interference with alky spraying (i'm assuming from the pump). is there any way to upgrade my existing unit or should i get a new one. also, i have had issues (long story) with my current maf (3" lt1) and was considering a new 3.5" ls1, is the older translator compatible with a ls1 maf? apoligies for the paragraph!
