This guy is why we need our government to start a new department : The department of vehicle cruelty. These people need to be pulled over, made to walk home, car gets confiscated and given to a guy that will take care of it.

I am pretty sure that guy is on this board... and plus, its really not that bad, I have seen worse, like a GN up on 20" gold spokes with a wood steering wheel

I don't care for the rims or steering wheel, but I can say that I like the stance it has.

A lot of times you see cars on 20s that look like they're ready to go across the river. So, at least the stance is decent. I've seen worse.

Lock this joker in a porta-potty and set it afaire!

Yes I remember that car..

That guy is a member here, might be a little more thoughtful :p
Looks nice to me! I wouldn't run 20's either but props for making them fit and getting a decent styled wheel!

Aside from the wheels, steering wheel, and chrome gage cups, it's a very nice car.

Or the Hooker headers.. Don't forget those.

Actually, the wheels aren't that bad. If it was tubbed and had 11" X 20" wheels in back it would be pretty cool.

For a show car to stand out it needs to STAND OUT. Can't fault a guy for realizing and exploiting this.

The wheels arent bad at all. Personally I like them alot better than alot of guys dated drag wheels, Just my opinion though

I think it looks OK. The stance is cool and it's not like he couldn't put it back stock on a Saturday afternoon if wanted to.;)

I dunno, fellas. As much as I hate the 'My ride is tight, yo'-crowd, I like the outer appearance of this GN.

  • It's still got the clean outer appearance and lines of a well-finished GN.
  • Nice Paint
  • Awesome stance and height profile
  • As far as the wheel sizes go, this is really just an extension of the modern trend toward Pro Touring cars, like those of Troy Trepanier
  • He did a nice job tucking up the wheels correctly, to follow the lines of the wheelwell openings

I think the wheel faces itself don't quite go with the lines of the car, but it takes a brave guy to embrace the new trends, and fly in the face of the typical 'Old Man'-style that's so commonly associated with Buicks. Maybe if more people do similar builds, we could actually spark some interest back into these cars.

Good job with your machine, buddy. You got some attention: Mission Accomplished. :)

P.S. - One tip, though. Lose the convoluted tubing...

BTW, you HAVE to check out the guestbook on CarDomain for this car...hilarious...Here are some clips (edited for content ;) ):

"bad @ss ride man check out my 87 type t with the gn package"

"cant lie homey. when i read 18zfront 20zrear i was about to come on your sh!t and clown you. i would have put dubz all around but the sh!t does look hard as f()ck. much props buddy. keep ****in em up. dont change anything!"

"tight as sh*t"

"dude u hits r 2 when i seen this car! now this phat ride is wat I am talkin about! nice rims lowered, oooooh loves da flames on the turbochager too..."

Priceless... ;) :)

rims

The car is clean as heck. Some of the add ons aren't my bag. 17-18" rims would fit my tastes a little better. Like I said in prev post to each his own!;)

he need to get a wing and some fart cans for the rear and it will be complete........

It looks just like my Dub City GN sitting right here on my desk. It's not all that bad. Definately not my taste, but whatever floats your boat.

Not bad...

I kinda liked the GN although the wheel style and steering wheel (what exactly kind of steering wheel was that?) I would have done differently. But the car looked super clean and I definitely liked the engine compartment. I liked the lowered look and the car was clean/neat as a pin. Nice job on it in my view.

However, the blue regal (http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/401779) with the Conestoga Wagon Wheels on it was freakin' hilarious! Definitely NOT one of my favs!

I like the stance, I would not do this to my car but I like to see variety if done right. I like this car especially the flames in the chrome under the hood. cool.
