On going saga on set up!

I read the link given to me 4-times at least and did the format. I did set the Tps and Iac several times untill the car smelled and ran smooth. It suggested the Tps be started all the way forward on an 87 my hotair I pointed it to the right. I checked for 1 1/2 screw Iac thread showing and set it up. I ended up with 2 turns down and reset the Tps several times. The numbers look good except for the Iac stays around 50 @ idle.
The blm stays at 160 unless I bring the idle up to 1k. I did a propane test for vacuum and did not find any change in idle. Any other feedback !
