could someone please direct me on GNTTYPE how to find the coil/module section that tells you the other GM cars you could use them off of, having a hard time trying to find it thanks.

Type II Ignition Coil Conversion

Option 1
Here is what is needed to switch over to the Type II Ignition system.

There are two approaches. The first is to go all new via www.gmpartsdirect.com

Option 2

The second option is to get the adapter place from the dealer, and get the Module and Coils out of a junkyard. Here is what you need to look for...

When you say adapter plate, are you talking about a hot air or is that for the 86/87 TR's aswell. I'm sceptical on thoes junkyards, wouldn't it be easier to go to a parts store and pay a little more and not worry if it's bad or good, just seems like more of a hassle? Thanks again for the info., really helped.
