Well pidling around with disassymbled tranny in the garage I took the overrun apart and it was hideous to say the least... I had to pry, yes pry the last 2 very blue steels apart to get to what looks like it used to be a friction.... What could cause this??? 10K mile Century tranny with stage right, everything else inside was fine but always had a little more material in the pan than I cared for (changed fluid every trip to track...)

Thoughts?

just a guess

Possibly the OR clutch is not releasing fast enough when going into OD or the OD roller is bad & slipping (I don't know if that's possible without total destruction). Or none of the above;) at least it's back to the top.
