I have a GT-6776s now and I really like the turbo but I had a 45a on my last car with a near identical combo and the 45a pulled harder and went faster. In all fainess I did have more time to refine the 45a combo so I may be able to match its performance with the 67 I currently have with more time but my 45a went 130mph in the quarter with a full weight T-Type with a pretty basic combo which will be tough to beat.

What stall did you have on the 45a? which stall do you have now?

I had a 3400 Vigilante with both turbos. The spool up with the non-BB 67 and the 3400 is great, couldn't ask for better. The first time I spooled it up at the track it spooled so fast I thought something was wrong!:D The 67 is easier to spool and lauch off the foot brake but so far just doesn't have the mph potential of the 45A in my appliaction. Both my cars have/had stock uported intakes, stock TB's and sotck valves and mild flat tappet cams. The T with the 45a went a best of 10.61 @129.7 on drag radials, while the WE4 with the 67 has gone a best so far of 10.91 @125.4 also on drag radials. I do feel the WE4/67 has more potential in it and it may end up running just as well when it is all said and done but picking up an additional 5 mph will be pretty tough. I think it all depends on your combo. If you have GN1's, and good flowing intake and other parts like that the 67 is probably equal or maybe superior but the the 45a just works well to push thru stock junk like I have.

Ive never seen a Supra e.t. better than 11.40. I know a lot have but i have yet to see it. Ive seen many hit 130mph in the quarter at the strip. The ones you are talking about must be set up to drag race. The ones ive seen sure werent. Also they will hit a higher mph at the same weight as us because of the lower coefficient of drag on the top end. The 67 is pretty much out of steam over 28psi on our engines at 6000rpm. I ran 26.5psi to go 127mph at 3700+lbs.

you have to be kidding me 11.40 are stock twins .Mine is not a drag car and it does low 10's with 25psi with 18in tires stock suspension.
come see for yourself 11'S lol

In the last 3 years ive seen at least 5 go 130+mph and none of those went quicker than 11.40. You can lol all you want but im only reporting what ive seen. Maybe the drivers sucked or they were all taking it easy out of the hole?

Would a boost controller help the 45a spooler a little faster? I got champion iron's and champion ported intake. just looking for the best turbo for my combo.

I will have a time on the 67BB(3,200 stall) by the summer with pump gas if I can get the engine back together. With the GN1s, ported intake and front mount I hoping to run around 15 pounds or better.

Possibly. I have never run anything other than the hardware store style bleeder valves. I have heard some good reports on the RJC boost controller valve. It's cheap and its a proven concept. As a matter of fact I have a brand new unused RJC vlave that I would be willing to part with if you end up needing one. I fully planned to use it but my current set up works so well on the street I almost hate to mess with it. I am a little concerned that if the RJC valve works as well as it is supposed to my car may spool too fast and spin!

Let me know if you want to sell the rjc bleeder. I'll probably will need it.

How fast did you get your too go?

No numbers on paper but have win some good money on the streets:D .
I will be taking it to Anderson performance to get him to dyno AND TUNE so i will post numbers soon

I need some good lite drag wheels before I go to the track. Do you have the dual ball bearing one? How does it pull in the mid range?

went for a ride in a few buddies that have the dbb 66 and a dbb 67, man there is basically no lag at all with a right converter. I mean around a few tenths of a second MAYBE. And once it getts going those things pull pretty hard.

I'm just ready to break baby in! I got a long list of stuff just put on. Trying to get the best of my combo for turbo wise and the other stuff. It'll probably scare the sh$^ out of me when I drive it again. It want to break it in so I know what to expect from here.
