Well here are some pics i took this morning before the days work, some friends are doing this job for me. Bought the paint today, white with a blue green pearl. Got the new glass front header panel, glass front bumper and front ABS fillers hung today. The car has been blocked down twice and will be ready for paint once the glass rear bumper and fillers are hung. Enjoy feel free if you see any problems

are you changeing colors?jambs need to be painted of the car.also to many breakthroughs,ie....the blue showing through the grey primer.to much sanding....or primer wasnt put on thick enough.

the door jambs and under the deck lid are prepped and ready to go. I know the car was primered 2x, its been blocked down twice as well

White with blue-green pearl? I just can't get a mental image of what that color looks like? Do u have any examples?

no samples.... sorry ... I'm kind of curious myself to see how it turns out.......i was talking with a co worker that used to work at a body shop . He was telling me that if you want to see the pearl all the time to put it in the base and if you want the pearl to stand out in the sun or light, put it in the clear. I'm going to do the latter with a couple coats of clear only on top .

just my .02 worth. pull both side mirrors, deck lid lock, antenna at least. that will make a huge difference. also mock up the fillers, paint them off the car. i like to paint the car with everything off but that is just me.

Well, that is the right way to do it. There is the right way, then there is the hack way.

X10. Take a little extra time to remove the extra parts including the weatherstrip. It's all in the prep and details...

take out the 1/4 glasses and the window mouldings around the front and back glass. you will be alot happier when it's done

Looked like the 1/4's were out already but I think I was mistaken. X100 on the quarter windows.

Well the paint is done, the guy is comming back in a couple weeks to color sand and polish. However, he still has a lot of work to do. The bumpers need to have another coat for incomplete coverage, as does part of the hood and a pillar. There s a run he knows about , under the hood needs attenion and the front inner fender lips as well. i'm not posting any pictures until its done, and done correctly. the color came out sweet however.

Get some pics of it in the sunlight so we can get a better idea of the pearl. I'm kinda wondering what it looks like.
