paint hardening??

I want to help preserve my original paint and keep it from chipping.

Is there something (extra clear coat?) that I can have a body shop spray on top of the original paint to harden it against chipping? The GM original paint blows a$$ and chips if the wind changes direction!

nope - nothing. If some one invents a paint that resist chipping, they will be a quadbillionaire

Just for the record, to resist chipping, paint would need to be softer (more flexible) not harder.

Well, looks like I'm gonna be a ba-gillionaire. I'm tired of being scared of paint chips and even more sick of being broke. I'll have to think of something!
