Just got a call from Dodson who won quick 16 turbo @ BG yesterday. His payout was --Plaque--Jacket--and a certificate for machine work @ a shop in Ga. WTF is going on with the Club? He also said that Fiscus was paid $182 for his win in TSO.

i walked over and checked it out since it had a 10:08 dial in ?? and i indeed has no turbo. it had headers running out under the car with 6 egt sensors and the precision plenum had a flex hose running out under the front bumper. I was pretty shocked.

Yes,

Jim was running a nasty NA motor. He ran a 10.06 on his 10.05 dial. He basically tree'd me with a .016 light to my .059 light. I ran a 10.12 on my 10.12 dial, but it wasn't enough to catch him. He beat me to the stripe by .03 seconds. Jim's a good racer, gave me my choice of lanes and he won that race with a great light.

I heard about the payout, well......I wouldn't really call that a payout. I think it suxs........................... but Richard does what Richard wants with "his" club and he looses members every year.

That's why John C and Nick M started their own event, That's why the BPG event got started. I hope these newer events take root and grow. I've been going to the Nats for 14 years. Maybe 06 will be my last year in BG.

Look around at the Fast Racers who refuse to come to BG. The list is long and distinguished. That alone speaks volumes.

BTW, I received $1000 last year for winning the BPG Super-Pro race. With a payout like that, You think I'll be there this year? That's a No-brainer.

i was thinking the same thing.....we paid $320 on top of the **** membership fee
if there were only 100 paying members...thats $32,000

$35 a year for their bi monthly mag. of which about 1/3 is ads for their parts or service. I will not be taking a car to BG next year. Sad part is I know people who worship every word that comes out of the CLUB. I have even seen people asking for audiographs.
