I have a THDP temporarly on my car till I get the external wastegate setup.

How do you hook up the WG acuator? I can get the rod to stretch over to it, but the angle is WAAAY off.

Any ideas?

WG Rod

You can elongate the holes on the accuator . It is also ok to run the W/G rod at and angle as long as it is not in a bind .

The angle would only be wrong if the actuator is mounted on the wrong holes or the compressor housing is clocked way off.

Loosen the 4 or 5 bolts on the compressor housing and rotate the housing until it lines up.

The problem is its a BIG compressor housing. 4" inlet 2.5" outlet. so rotating the compressor housing won't work. I'm waiting on a DP for the external gate.

Ahhh, more info left out of the original post :(

If it has that big a housing, I doubt you'll get it to line up.

I got it to line up now, sort of... it doesnt seem to bind, but I can't get any boost out of it at all. Its either way rich in the DFI or the puck isnt sealing....

Loads of fun!

On compressor housings that big you have to bend the rod into an S shape. At least that's what I've seen on a CPT66 with the 4" inlet from Cotton. Bend it close to the actuator and about where the threads start (I think :-)).

I run a HD stock type actuator with a THDP and turbo compressor like yours, 4" in, 2.5" out. Like qwknuf6 described for fitment, I slotted the actuator mounting holes quite a bit. I didn't bother to bend the rod so it's at an angle to the flapper of course. With a Meziere water pump, the slots had to be elongated even more due to required clocking for clearance. 30# boost no problem, no creep. Why are you going to an external gate? In fact, I'd really like to see if you pick up anything by going to the external gate, been considering it myself.
