Hey guys. I postedd a thread about needing a racing transmission and wanted to ask a few things about these two companies.

I have read both informations about both transmission companies and they both differ in some area's and parts used. I wanted to know if anyone has had a chance to compare both or have used both. I am looking to boost up to 28-30psi to put me into the 10's. I am boosting 26psi on ALKY.

So which one is stronger and better and which one will last longer for both the street and strip? I am looking at the stage 1 models of the 200r4.

I blew mine to piece apparently cause it went boom last night and I have a ton of fluid spewing out between my engine and transmission so something broke on the front of the transmission

So I have to buy a racing transmission today from one of the two places so I am trying to get an answer pretty fast.

Thanks for all the information to. A+ for TURBOBUICK.COM

I've never heard of Permabuilt but, if you're talking about Performabuilt there's a good comparison on Lonnies site.
And it pretty much says which is the stronger/better built Trans>> Extreme Automatics Where winning is easy

Personally I don't think you should use a Stage-1, a Stage-2 is more inline with what you need.

Chris @CKPerformance or Dave Husek @TurboBuickPerformance are much closer to you and both also build great Trans. If you don't mind a little drive.

Never heard of the other guys. Please do us all a favor and choose a vendor that supports this board. They are THE BEST in the business for 200's hands down...

Amen to that! I would go stage 2 at the least for your goals. I went with Donnies stage 3 and love it. The other vendors on here are all good too.

They are from this board. Performabuilt has a huge banner on top this page and Gbody sells Lonnie's transmissions too. So I did only choose transmission companies from here.

There is absolutely no questions necessary when you buy from Lonnie (Extreme Automatics). The guy is hands down one of the most honorable guys I've ever delt with. His trannies have been tested, tried, and are garaunteed to work very well. WE have used many of his trannies and have always walked away extremely happy. I have 4 trannies being built buy him now, I have another one in my 4.1 car, and I also just installed one in a car I've been builing for another member. Give him a call and you will be a happy guy in the end! -----Jeremy:cool:

That's a Google banner link junk............ Please disregard.

Spend the money for a stage 2 from Lonnie. You know you are going to want to go faster soon. I went with a stage 3. You will not be disappointed.

Stay away from the google banner ads unless they are vendors from here. The vendors here are listed on the main page at the bottom.
