didn't get much more times as was fiddling with my ride, ( I did run 7.12@101, spinning on radials all the way)

chevota ran 4.81,

DO THE MATH !!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me add a few thoughts!

First of all, the entire group from Cali helped make this a great event, thanks guys, we enjoyed having you share this event with all present.:) [Even though Lee did not get me my afternoon ration of candy? ]

Jeff Rand proved this year how good the track was prepared when he "lunched" his car's rear end at the starting line. Thank you for coming Jeff, and I am sure that would have been a record pass for you.

People were still talking about the yellow Toyota PU even after he left the track. Scott put on an AWESOME show for us.

Cannot remember all the names, but thanks Reg, Pete, Don, Sod, Manual and others who know who you are. For those that could not make it, mark your date for next year, and make SURE you car is ready to join us!

We hope tomorrow we can run the full 1/4 mile and continue the fun. I had at least 8 runs today, and more competition coming tomorrow.

Cal Hartline was here to tune a few cars and Jason Cramer brought his car and family.

For those not here, the event tee shirt was a big hit. Big Scott who did these shirts, said for anyone interested in purchasing them, he would pay shipping costs, and give a multiple order discount. Just e-mail me, and will pass it on to Scott.

Thanks again guys!

P.S. Just got a phone call from Brent [boost231], he just blew both axles out of his car, and is on his way here to pick up a complete rear end from me in a few minutes!

Nick,
I never launched the car. I was on the foot brake and the drivers side axle broke (I just inspected the damage). Well it is time to move from 30 spline to 33 spline axles. On my first and only run I did get the car into the high 5's for the first time so it was not a complete loss.

Jeff.. sorry to hear about that.. at least it didn't break going down the track.. i was freaked out after breaking mine, knowing that i could have totaled the car due to that axle.. do you have C-Clips ??

I was having so much fun , I forgot about the camera!
boosted231 was so happy ,I think he still has a woody! he wanted an 11.99 run, and ended up with a 11.60 run!!!!! yea, just a hot air!!!!!
Rick Percy ran a 6.46 108,
Reggie West in his T type ran some lo 7's then went driving around town
( totally street legal, and in street trim!!!!!!!)
Jeff did run some mid 5's before his rear broke ( thanks for making coffee dear?)
Donnie was sounding awful strong but didn't see the time slips, but knowing Donnie, they were reaL GOOD!!!!!!!
I know there were more , but I was feeding the homeless and the helpless ( do you recognize your self Nick?)
I only had one good run do to stupid preperation, but managed a 7.12@101, spinning all the way, and with 1800 EGT (lean!!!!!!) on radials!
Scott (chevota) ran a bunch of lo lo 5's all around 128-129, to back up the 4.81( and was asked to not make any more runs) he says theres more left!

hope the rest will post up, so we can all see how everyone ran.

Thanks Nick, Scott, Krom(Dennis) and all the others I'll be back!!!!!!!!!!

(Brent you can relax now,we all know hotairs DO RUN fast)

Mike,
I have the Ford ends welded to the axle tubes. I had problems with the C-Clip eliminators leaking. With the new turbo 400 and torque converter and the distributor setup, I managed a 1.39 sixty on the foot brake on my first pass (I figured I would start on the foot brake and then move to the transbrake). They really laid down a lot of VHT.

He ran a 9.3 next to me, and was still at it when I left the track. Am sure he will fill us in when he returns home tomorrow.:)

Oh, must say the track was GREAT today, no wind and awesome traction, and staging lanes were empty. Just pull up and make a pass!

Well i just got home i was the last one to leave the track :) anyways the car ran good but it was still to hot out for my car. Sat. night i was hoping to make so low 11 sec passes but that didnt turn out to good. Where was everyone at when i need help pushing my car? anyways they opened the 1/4 mile late sat. night got up to the lanes and it was getting pretty cool out. anyways i foot brake lauched the car it made it half way to the 60 foot line and then bamm the car drops and the drivers side axle and wheel come rolling by me. damn drivers side axle snaped right at the splines. anyways got ahold of nick late sat night got the new rearend in sat night and made some passes sunday. car was getting faster sunday but it was still to hot. i was hot lapping it and the car ran 11.99 then 11.94 then 11.87. i couldnt get it to 1/8 mile like sat. but i know the sat. passs where 11.60 passes. i did no tunning but i did up the timming to 22 from 19 on C16 :) anyways next year it will be mid to low 11's and i will run the 11.50 class :) anyways i will get back to this later im kinda tired. o before i go. It was a pleasure meeting everyone and i hope to see you all next year. i will right more later

I was there on Sat with my dad & his car. Car ran good, its best of an 8.20 in the 1/8. The car is stock besides a THDP, exhaust, hot wired Walbro pump afpr, & 55lb inj, so my dad was pretty happy. Well for myself I have to say, other than the windy weather, I had a great time. As with last year everybody was great, the cars were fast, & it was just an all around good time. I can't wait for next year, hopefully my car will be running.

chevota ran 4.81,

DO THE MATH !!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah ummmm something wrong there.......... if that lil truck ran 4.81 he should take his act on the road and race some outlaw 10.5 events. only issue is he would be about 30 to 40 mph slow! most guys running that fast run high 150's to 180's in the 1/8th mile.

somthing happened to the timing system on that pass.

its 152 mph for my 4.80s. i watched that run and im pretty sure he tripped the timming lights with the back tires and tripped the lights at the 1/8 th with the front tires. at least thats what i think about it. no matter what, the truck hauls a$$! it had the front tires off the ground for a long time and the mph was killer! its a total sleeper and a good looking truck. shawn i'll call you after work.
