Thanks, Lee, but I don't know what I am looking for till I find it. I did give a lot of consideration to Ray's car, but bottom line of my decision was that it was somewhat of too much of an animal for me for a 2nd car. 2 things that might have changed my mind were (1) I did not know that Ray had already switched over to Calif registration & smog, & (2) I was unaware that Ray's car did not have at least a bar in it. Fast caged & barred cars are a dime a dozen, and really nice, fast, uncaged, unbarred sleeper street cars are 1 in a millon. I would never cage that car for that reason. On the strip, that will be just another race turbo Buick, but on the street without a bar or cage that car will reign supreme. I don't know what I want yet, but we'll see if anything really nice turns up at the show. If I had choices, it would be: '87 only turbo Buick, probably a Turbo-T over a GN, solid roof 1st choice, astro roof 2nd choice, no/extreme low miles, original owner preferbably, garaged it whole life, bucket seats, very well optioned, a few mods maybe, gray & blackout over grey interior. What are the chances, huh? This is starting to sound darn pricey, maybe I had better stick with the white one that I have now. Quit while I am ahead, so to speak. I would think twice before caging that car, Lee. Good luck either way.

Point well taken

caging the monster, was my 1st thought, but you have some valid points
I agree, it does have a unique attraction, one of the reasons I bought it was due it being so bland, and normal looking, (like walking and carring a BIG stick)
I will give it serious thought before I make that decision.(if I do)
Thanks

Hey Fellas

Hey guys! First off thanks for all the kind words. It's another day without the buick and I'm feelin a little down  :) Just joking! I'm just happy it stayed in are community and I will be able to see it again in the future with even more improvements done to it. Lee I'm very happy you like it and next time we will have more time to talk ;)

Also, in regards to the rollbar, I didn't want to put one in it due to my idea of being an ultimate sleeper, this car would be just that even more so with a little quieter exhaust, just never got around too it.

It is a great car and the combo is proven, I'll build the exact same combo in a year or so to come once I get situated in FL. Maybe even be one of the few running in the 9's with Iron heads  anyway we'll see, in the mean time I'll be racking my brain until then and continue to be a proud supporter of are small community. We'll guy's I need to do some shopping and I'll see everyone at are next get together.....Next week right. Thanks Tim for driving Mr Ray....

Ray

No problems Ray its the least I can do for all of your support and help, see ya soon.Ill let you know up front mine is quite abit slower than yours, but as long as we get there and collect my donuts from turbo 39151 well be ok  Gary says my car does ok at this event so well see Im curious to see how it does.Marcie has spent all day putting together a little something to hopefully give me a little edge on the competition....BTW is pablo coming out for this Ray??? Id like to get as many of the S.D. clan out as possible...

I am really looking forward to seeing everybody and I hope that we have a good turnout of turbo Buicks for this show. Tim: isn't your car the grey turbo-t with red striping. That car has always done very well when Bonnie had it and it has won more than it's share of trophies at Deere Park. I don't know if it has ever been shown at Bates yet. It will do well, so keep it home, ok? J/K, Tim, looking forward to seeing it there.
