Hi all!

This weekend we had the annual Power Big Meet in my hometown.
People drove there cars up here from all over Europe and flying in from USA,Canada, Australia etc...... to whatch the show.

During Sat. we had 8100 good looking classic USA cars at the same parking lot!!!!!!!!

The evening/all night cruise is about 50 mile long with US cars in all the lanes!
Appr. 80000 people where here and whatched the show during 3 days, not so bad for a little sleeping village with only 129k inhab.

This is an amazing gathering!

We have plenty of pics at our TA-forum, starting with page 2 and it goes on to 3 as well, scroll down a bit first and then you will see the attached pics.
Some have comments in Swedish and some in english, yes.... you can have a look at the Burt Reynolds promotion car there as well!
Also a Banshee is there.... 42 made.

And fellow swede TTA owner Jan Larsson and his son from the UK where here as well!

Greetings from the promised land in the east!

I would have loved to have made it there, but my money is tied up in two other vacations at the moment. When you told me about it earlier it sounded really interesting. Perhaps next year we'll make the flight up there.. flights to Sweden are really cheap from here. I may need a ride from the airport though. Thanks for sharing. Now just bring that show down here and we'd be in business. :)

You're up late 23.37

Terrific Uffe,

Yes, I've been looking at the airfares for ryanair and a few of the other "southwest" airlines of Europe. We're flying air Berlin to London in January... for two adults it costed only Eur118 round trip. That's great for hoppin' around Europe.

I have a slow connection right now, so I'm going to check out all the pics tomorrow while I'm at work and have a faster connection. We're actually headin' back to the states soon... so a trip to Sweden was a little out of cost range for us. But next year, let me know as early as you can about dates and info. Perhaps we can make a trip.

Yea right, Ryan airs prices are totally insane!
I took a flight to England and back again for Eur 55! Including taxes!

Power Big Meet is always hold the first weekend in July.

Take your time tomorrow and look at the pics, if i found any more links with pics from the meeting i'll post them here.

Btw. i met a guy from Bayern that drove up with his Trans Am and joined us other TA-owners and chatted.

Yea, right, you know how it's up here in the north during the summertime when the sun don't go down.... kinda hard to explain..... very hard to go to bed when it it isn't dark out.
Well.... we get payed back for it during the winter time when we only have the sun up for a few hours.:(

OK, going to bed now......

Greetings from the land of the midnight sun!

Whoa.. that's a long way!!

Bavaria to Sweden. I looked it up on Mapquest and it came 15 hours from HERE. I'm near Düsseldorf. Tack another 8 or so onto that.. That's a long drive. Of course, the computer said it takes 15 hours. It's probably less then that if the autobahn co-operates. I wish I knew your friend with the TA was coming through. I've been dying to see another turbo car since I've been here. Although I saw a Typhoon about a month ago.

Well, let me get started in trying to talk the g/f into flying up to Sweden. :)

I'm sure with a year of being nice, I might have a chance.

Hey Uffe, thats very impressive stuff. I especially like the Bandit Ta, the yellow cab shot (priceless), and of course the TTA. And the guy getting ready to blow for the cops is great. Been there done that:D How is the GN, did it make the line up???

Yah, just had mid summer night about a week ago. Our longest day had a hint of blue in the sky at 11pm and starting to show the same hint again around 3:45am... I'm sure you get it worse than we do.

Do like the rest of Europe.. invest in some blinds. But yes, you're right.. it gets you back in the winter time. A bit depressing actually.

Hello striker!

GN is fine, purring lika a cat!;)
Took here to the track for 2 weeks ago.
I knew that the car is an easy 11sec. car and we need a roll cage here under 12.00sec. so i let the throttle off before the line.
60 feet: 1.70
1/8 mile: 7.28@96
1/4 mile:11.67@118

Had 10.5 M/T Et Street mounted.
No tuning in at all, just filled here up with gas.
Next race is tomorrow evening.

Another GN is on the way right now to one of my friends here in my hometown, shipped out from Houston TX.

Chris: There where also many cars from Austria and Switzerland (right spelled?)

Wow, that's a healthy GN... glad to hear you've got it running so good. You said you have a friend that's getting one from Texas?? At the rate you're going, I'll have one over here. :)

There seems to be a strong showing of American cars in Switzerland and Austria (spelled right:) ) Glad to see that same spirit is alive and well here.. only hidden by the masses of econoboxes running around. :)

Wow that is a real beast you have there, no wonder your friend is getting one too:D Sounds like you got your head gasket problem solved ehh? Good luck at the track tomorrow, gonna try to make it out myself this weekend. I'm gonna try out those ET streets too, they seem to be the right stuff. Good showing Uffe!

The head gaskets......

Well, the guys that did all the machine work on the engine did something very wrong when they machined the grooves in the heads, when we change the gaskets the first time we checked the deep of the groove and it was fine, second time we checked the wide of the groove and saw that it was to small and they didn't have the grooves centred compared to the gasket.
We took some plastic that become steel when you work with it and put in the grooves, didn't want to machine down the heads again.

Working fine now thank you!
