I'm looking for pics of cages where the bars either go through the dash or in front. Not sure on how the bar would enter the dash on the drivers side through the pad(gauge cluster). Trying to get ideas on which way to go. I would rather go through the dash so I can put a bar behind going side to side

HAHA, I posted this topic a few months ago and got the same response. :( Do a wildcard search on *cage *and *bar* in topics only and some good pics will pop up, although most threads are old with nonexistent links. The best looking one though looks to be from Ernie Mcdaniel in FL though.

This is nuts, any other site has plenty of responses, trying here because I wanted to see how it enters the dash on drivers side since nothing else shares an identical dash as a Regal. My Q is when it runs along the drivers a-pillar it looks as though the dash pad, cluster area will have to have a half circle type trimming done so the bar has enough room before actually entering through the speaker grill. Ya know what I'm trying to say??

Most on here go around the front of the dash.

I can't put up pics right now but my cage goes thru the dash. If you can wait a few days I will take some pics and e-mail them. But they go thru the top of the dash. There is a small area where the dash pad, speaker cover meet near the windsheild. The bar hugs the A-pillar and passes thru the dash between the plastic speaker cover and the pillar. Only a little bit of the dash was trimmed away to make enough room for the bar to pass thu this area. It's hard to describe without pics. The wind shield had to be removed to do this but it's the best I have seen.

The best way to get the angle is to weld a bar between the A-pillars first, then tie the bars coming down the A- pillars into this bar. Then the bars coming up from the frame can be tied into the first bar. This way you don't have to bend the a-pillar bar and install in one piece. It is also NHRA legal

I found one pic I had taken a few months ago on my e-mail. I sent it to you. If you need some more just let me know and I'll get them.

Thanks, I got it and emailed ya back.

Here is one from my drivers side. You don't need to go through the dash if the fire wall is stock.

Good Luck
