Please say a prayer for my wife..........

My thoughts are with you as well. My wife had a seizure on Halloween 2 years ago. We, my wife, in-laws and myself, were sitting here in the family room eating dinner waiting for the trick or treaters to show up and all of a sudden my wife just fell over. For a split second we thought she was kidding around but it was very apparent she was not. We all panicked and they were looking for the phone to call 911 but I just grabbed her and headed to the car and hauled tail to the hospital. Turns out it was from epilepsy. Now she has to take pills for it but it hasn't happened since. She didn't remember much which was good but according to state law, she couldn't drive a car for six months!

Great thing about this forum and many like it, a person can ask for a simple request like a prayer and get overwhelming suport without any "political correctness" intervention. I am personally impressed the response this type post generates and know many more un-stated prayers are also directed your way, like mine.
Just shows how many great people we have here, and actually throughout the country, that believe in the power of prayer.

While reading the bible, I noticed that just before a miracle would happen, the bible would say that. Isn't it just wonderful that this Board is just that. "compasionate" Because we offer genuine hearts of compasion, God hears our prayers and heals. He hears our hearts and blesses us with miracles. He sees our prayers written on the hearts of what we call Turbobuick.com, and rejoices knowing we are his servants.
So Lord we ask you to humbly heal these physical ailments of Ty's wife. We ask that you continue to hear our prayers and praises from this board and that Your hand not be lifted from Turbobuick.com and its members.
In Jesus name we pray....Amen

I hope your wife and all of you are doing O.K. It's scary for you and your sons as well. My dad started having occasional seizures (4 so far) about 3 years ago. They're not sure what causes his. They haven't diagnosed him with epilepsy because of the legal implications (he won't be able to drive, not even his boat in Mississippi). He's only 63 and in otherwise excellent health. This seizure business can be very mysterious and therefore very frustrating.
Here's hoping for a definite diagnosis and a good prognosis for your wife! Good luck and God bless.

I feel for ya man...
My Fiance has had them since we were Sr.s in High School. Its scary stuff. Luckily some medication keeps them under control now.
I hope it is a reaction to the medicine, but if not there are many things that can be done to help.

Good morning
What a week gentleman! My wife is home and is resting. Looks like she is on her way to recovery. All tests showed fine except she was on ULTR*M (does NOT give a buzz, just takes away pain).
If any of you or your family is taking this drug, DO NOT TAKE ANYMORE PLEASE! If you do an nternet search you will find some bad stuff about it. The first side effect listed on their website is seizures even with normal doses! Well our Dr did not tell us this
My wife has been a RN for about 10 years and was taking the ultram for her teriibly aching joints at the end of the day and over 2-3 years the Ultr*m just "built up" in her body and WHAM!
I think she is going to try and get a job that has a slower pace to it. She will make about 1/2 what she was, but at least she might be a lot healthier without the hectic pace of being a nurse.
Anyone email me and we can talk directly about this drug. Drs across the nation are calling it safe, wrong!

Ah the power of prayer! I didn't have a chance to reply the first time I read your post, but that doesn't matter. The prayers all still went out and were answered. It's nice to know that there's such a carring group of people on this board that can be counted on. I feel privilaged to be a part of such a good organization.

I'm sorry she went through all that stress (and you too), but I'm glad that's what it turned out to be. I took Ultram for a while when I had kidney stones a couple of years ago. Pretty good bit of it. No one mentioned those side effects, and it wasn't listed on the sheet from the pharmacy. I know I'd remember that. Glad all is well for you two.

here on the board. Some we know, most we dont! My wife is up and walking a little bit. Talking to us all now and eating great! Hopefully on the way to a full recovery! Probably a week or so until she is feeling like really doing anything much at all but this is a start!

She is talking about quitting her job as a registered nurse to go to work in our local school system. Probably about 1/2 wages but she will be off whenever our 2 young boys ages 6 and 3 will be off school so that would be a plus also. Just a lot less "toys" around here if she does but as long as shes happy right . I am behind her 100%.
