Im gearing up to install my CK shift kit. I was reading in his manual to plug the feed hole in the accumulator housing for engines with 400+ hp.

My car is probably right around that mark. On line HP calculators calculate high 300hp for my cars track times. But i got real tires now and will be upping the boost a bit. I Was wondering if i should do it while im in there. What are the drawbacks of pluggin it up ?

yes it makes for a better shift.

I recently read in a manual to not plug it completely. It said to put an orifice in it. That is what my tranny guy did. I watched him do it and it ended up making the hole about half the size of what it originally was. However, this was in an Aamco manual so you can take that info for what it's worth. My shifts are firm but when I get my original valve body put back in it should be a nice sharp shift.
