This plug is under the driver side dash near console. The wires run up behind radio. One black one grey.
Anyone?

It almost looks like a light socket for a gage.

Just finishing cleaning up the rats nest from previous owner.

I’m thinking it was a gage light for a console pod at some point. Hard to trace wire.

Is it a console car? It could either be the light for the shift indicator or could be ash tray light for bench car.

ash tray light, but in a console car there is no ashtray there, so the factory wiring taps it for the shift indicator (PRNDL)

Now that there are pictures, that is aftermarket right there! Throw a bulb in and see if it's still works! Dont need it just remove it.
