Don't be stupid... its as simple as that. Don't put any stupid neon lights are tinted plate covers on there. If you make it look like a kids car than you'll be targeted. Also, a 3" dual ATR exhaust with no cat will get their attention too. No need for a 6 cyl. to be loud.

I gotta share this :D We were at my buddy's shop the other night talkin about stuff like this ....... Bling Bling and other attention grabbing stuff.

My little brother used to work at an oil change place when he was younger. Said one time a car pulled in.......they put it up on the rack.......and burst into laughter.

Apparently this guy couldn't afford a neon kit............so he wired a bunch of those neon license plate frames up under that car.

That has to classify as ghettofabulous :D

"yea, if in Europe they dont fock around. They crack ya for almost nothin if they want. COPS STILL SUCK ASS THOUGH!!"

In what post did he say this??? And what cops in Europe is he talking about? Not sure about eastern Europe but here, cops are just the same. Some are real cool about things. I'm sure there's a share of pricks, but for the most part here, the ones I've dealt with have been very good about things.

Funny thing is that I am always nice to cops when they pull me over and always make sure they have plenty of room etc.. but only twice have I gotten away with just a warning and both times I had a firearm in the car and they just ran the numbers and my name and gave it back and told me to have a nice day. The real problem is that you are more likely to get pulled over by the 1 prick cop than by any of the ten good cops when you really aren't doing anything wrong other than maybe going 3mph over the limit. Now how should someone feel when they don't even know why they are being pulled over and the last time they got a ticket from a real prick even though they tried to be as nice as possible? 1 bad apple really does spoil the whole barrel.

So true!
I have been witness to severe cop attitude. Some of my friends got arrested at a bachelor party because the cops had an attitude. Yeah they were stupid for stating that they do not "care if [they] get arrested; they can come take me away" but that person was not the one causing trouble or even interacting with the cops!?!? One of'em heard it and walked over and cuffed him, another was arrested for calmly and politely asking why he is being arrested and where he is being taken!

Making up probable cause and other violations by the man makes one wonder why we (who did not take an oath) should be concerned with following the rules.

The cops seem to be driving a wedge between themselves and the public at a time when there should be even more trust.

"When the people fear the government, there is tyranny." - Thomas Jefferson

Meh...it's easy to say "Don't break the law!" and all, but I find it hard to resist the urge to speed :D

However, I am RESPONSIBLE for my actions, and I am fully aware that if I'm speeding, I can't bitch about getting pulled over.

And remember these two words: Mutual Respect.

SHAME ON YOU GUYS.........MISHANDLING MICHAEL. THROWING HIM IN THE $HIT FILLED ROOM WAS MEAN. YOU COPS ARE LOW.

Here is a great story for you guys.. Went to a dyno day off Rt 73 in NJ near the end of the summer. I came out of the lot sideways and went down 73 for awhile smoking wheels. Well I did look all over before I did this naturally :) It was mainly woods and stuff around that area. Well I get a few miles down the road and a local cop pulls up next to me and rolls his window down. I thought Oh boy.. here comes the pull over part" So I look over at him and he says nice f**ken car! After my shocked look he said he owns a GN and it's home in the garage. My kinda officer! :D So I pulled over and let him look over my car and we shot the crap for a little while. I asked him if he heard my wheels and he said he did hear something as he was up the road and just drove down to have a look. When he saw my car he knew where the tires came from ;)

As far as driving around with the dump open.. spend the money and get the electric cut out. I installed one and I love it! The fact that you can open it just a little bit makes it nice when you pull up next to a Mustang! :)

I know theres probably a few officers of the law that happen to have GNs and are on this board. I guess i want to take advantage of this and ask some officers what is the best way for me to NOT get pulled over. Is it mostly because Im young? Also, how do you guys check for speed for probable speeders?
Simple...obey the law.

Your car is going to attract attention without any modification because of what it is. You start dressing it up with illegal items and you're going to get some more [unwanted] attention.

This was already mentioned, but stay away from those utterly useless clear/smoked license plate covers. What makes those dumb things so popular today? Stay away from illegal tint, lights, loud exhausts, keep your plates current and most of all drive like a mature human being.

I have lots of respect for anyone willing to risk their lives upholding the law for even less than I make as a teacher. There are exceptions but most police officers I've met are nice. Imagine the world without laws, and imagine the roads without traffic laws....

Not a place I'd like to be...

hey James, you even have trouble on the track

I should pick up the parts this week. I got a good body man in my car club that is helping me, and the car should be better than ever in a month or so.
