Anybody using one? Just installed one, and the vibration is terrible.

If it has a shim plate remove it and see how it is. This would be an Energy Suspension mount that has the plate.

I got all poly bushings on my transmission cross member including the torque arm ... the trans mount I use is the correct same height as the stock one if that makes a difference. Slightly more vibration than stock at a certain rpm when standing still and revving the engine but none when driving.

I just installed the Spohn Pro series torque arm. Comes with a new trans cross member, and a poly trans mount. There's no shims on the mount. I think I'm going to change back to a stock style mount. Spohn says I need one from a late 60's Chevelle, or something like that.

Dave,
I just drove my new TTA home with poly mounts and it about rattled my teeth out.

I dont have an issue at all with my H&R puff and stuff motor mounts....But the poly trans mount was something else!

It felt like the rear end's thrust angle was off by 10*

Thats brings a good point. The thrust angle in our cars is supposed to be 0° correct?

Even just revving the car in neutral it felt like it was shaking pretty bad. Under the hood it looks as smooth as can be.

Just picked up a stock style trans mount from a 65' Chevelle. Going to install it tomorrow. Hopefully the car is nice and smooth again.

I always run the elcheapo trans mounts in the TR's as the vibes were horrible with the poly

At $6.36 I don't consider this el cheapo!!!! J/k! Cheapest part I've ever bought for this car. Anybody interested in a poly trans mount for cheap? Ha!

My motor is balanced and it was rough as hell with a poly mount on the transmission. I can't imagine getting used to running one of those no matter how long you drove the car. I've got a spohn torque arm though. It's not bad at all with a stock replacement type rubber mount.

Yeah I'm running the Spohn Pro series torque arm. With the car at idle in park it felt like the motor was going to shake out of the car. Under the hood it looked to be running as smooth as can be. Can't believe how much vibration there was.

As I remember the stock transmission crossmember had rubber bushings on the crossmember-to-frame bolts in addition to the rubber mount on the transmission, so there were 2 areas of isolation from the factory. The spohn crossmember has a thin rubber isolation strip between the frame though.

I've been daily driving my TTA to work over the last few days. It had been parked in the garage for several weeks over the holidays and in January.

Yes I was just looking at the stick cross member. It has 3 isolation bushings, plus the torque arm attaches with a rubber mount. The Spohn cross member has rubber pads between it, and the body, but I really doubt they accomplish anything. Every mod I make to the suspension, or rear end just makes the car louder, and clunkier.
