have Spybot Search and Destroy
AVG 6.0
Spyware Blaster
Spyware sweeper

and still getting nailed every 20 seconds with pop ups
have deleted all temp internet file and cookies and history...
WTF please help....
one popup that come up says ""Brought to you by Surf-Sidekick"" if that helps any

I had the same problem. Running firefox and had spybot S&D and it never found anything. Norton never found anything either (both were up to date too). Once I used the free stuff that came with my SBC Yahoo DSL...all is good!!!!!

U gotta stay off the porn sites.

Create a seperate user account with limited user rights(this way it wont affect administrator rights), then when it gets all jammed up with the junk, delete it and ur all good to create another.

I just reformat when it gets that bad...maybe save your bookmarks, pictures, docs and reformat...if still there, dont put anything back on

Pop up stopper free works great for me. Have you went into msconfig to se if the program is loaded on startup?

if you are running xp,i just go to system restore when it starts happening and restore back a week or so<just restore back to before it started.you will not lose any saved files or programs,but icons on your desktop will go back to tha same date.
start,all programs,accessories,system tools,system restore

Try Windows Defender. You can download it from their site and it works well.
You can even control which programs start up on your computer.

Surf-sidekick is a doosy - seen it before....

Should be in Add/Remove programs - but if not, google it - there are manual delete instructions all over the web...

Go here and search for ad ware or any computer subject you want, and Majorgeeks.com will suggest software to accomplish what you want. Some software is freeware and some you have to buy, just read before you clcick

if you have more than one pop up blocker they tend to fight with each other then neither one works what i have is one virus dectector Norten and a spysweeper and i haveent gotten anything. i use to have both macafee and norten and they fought all the time and i got every virus out there it seemed like.

I use Anti-Vir and AD-Aware SE as my only virus/spyware detection progams and they work great - got them from a friend who is on the computer all the time and builds computers for people etc...(he knows his stuff). He likes them because they are free and get the job done.

go to www.spywarewarriors.com. there are some programs you will needs to download, once you get them, post a log in the forum and they will walk you through how to get rid of it. they are very good and it really shocks me they do it for free. ive had them help me get rid if some very nasty ones before.
