port my 6776 WG hole??

I have read alot about porting the WG hole with an internal wastegate. I have an external gate. Do I still need to port the turbine to match my DP? I have everything apart right installing new cam and going over the heads with new seals, etc... I need to decide to do it now before I put the engine back together.

My DP hole is ALOT bigger than the turbine hole...should I make them the same size?

You dont want to make them the same size. The puck on the downpipe needs to cover the turbo hole. I think they say 1/8 overlap all the way around or something like that

Correct..external gate. I would say its a 1" inch hole on the DP and a 3/4" hole on the turbine. Is that enough of a difference to start porting?

I would assume you can pretty much match it to the tube for the external wastegate since the seal isn't taking place between a puck and the exhaust housing like it would on an internal setup. Obviously don't go TOO big because exhaust flow will catch on the lip.

I could build 25 psi on mine without the wastegate puck hooked up! It took a while though.
