I have a TA61.The turbine housing (garrett .63a/r) looks like the same casting as a stocker.I see a carbon track around the turbine inlet which suggests gas reversion in the turbine housing.I think porting in this area will speed spool up and reduce boost pressure.Has someone done this before with perceivable results? Please let me know what you think. Thanks

DailyDrifter there is a breather on the end of the turbo induction tube called a "K&N cone" but no breather going directly into the compressor housing. What does the compressor have to do with the exhaust gas inlet to the turbine housing?

Sorry, I guess I mis-understood your first post. You can port it ,but not sure how much gain you will see. FWIW it wont hurt performance. There's a thread from DougFastZ where he is port matching almost everything in the engine.
