On both my GN and my 79 RX7, the passenger wheel sticks out further than the driver's side by an inch or two. It doesnt have an noticeable camber so id ont think it alignment. Another guy said that his was doing the same thing and the ball joint was what was causing his. How can I tell if its the ball joint? Could it be worn out shocks(71k and stock shocks)? Any other ideas?

jack it up in the front, use a long pipe or something to give leverage, place under the front wheel and lift if theres any play bj is shot or on the way out while your at it move it side to side and watch for play if any tie rods,
Or you can go to the alignment shop and have them do it......

Most likely the body isn't centered on the frame.

If the front end has never been rebuilt, the passenger side upper A Arm bushings of '86-87 Turbo cars go bad long before the ball joints. This might make the tire stick out a little (but you will really notice a looseness under braking), but the frame is more likely the problem.
