Noticed mine had dropped a few weeks ago also, but I didn't say anything. Now they dropped again and I had no post in the political section.

Wonder if the actual post are gone as well?

If your count dropped a few weeks ago, some posts were probably removed. I dont know anything about that.

I rarely rebuild post count. This is the first time I can think of doing it in probably a year.

Most of the "top" posters where from the political section. I figured this being a TurboBuick board that the political section wasn't quite as important for "board specific" purposes...

The way we are going in there we might eventually draw a crowd just for that and I don't think that would be good for the board as a whole...

Post count for the political section was removed.

The political section also is no longer indexed into the search engine.

Excellent move since they hardly ever contribute to what really matters.

Anyones post count drop overnight? I dropped about 600 from last night. I know there was some maintenance this morning and was thinking something went wrong. Anyone else have this issue? Just curious thanx....

Your too much of a political poster:biggrin: With good posts form what i remember.

Ty got in the system.. he wants to make sure he has the most posts on here too

Well atleast when I search now I won't have to filter thru all the political BS now to find the tech post im looking for.

I think the political forum should just be thrown in the trash can anyway. All it does is stir people up and create tension.

Actually, that's Obama's first test of his ability to control the net...

What's the difference between a post in the political section and a post in the lounge?

Or a post giving bad advice in the tech section?

Or making up something to post in the kill section?

Or a post bitching about Keith Meese for the eight billionth time?

When "Nice kill!" counts as much as a well thought out post on injector sizing I think you are being a tad inconsistent in saying a post in the political section fails to pass some quality test.

And for those of you complaining about PV... the political section was created many years ago to keep that stuff out of the lounge. At the time everybody was very happy about that. Now we have people calling for it to be trash canned because they don't like it. WTF? Just don't go there.

I personally think the kill section is beyond stupid. (A lot of boards don't even have one so as not to encourage street racing.) But if some people like it, fine, I don't have to go there.

As for drawing a crowd... that's kind of a stretch... but corvetteforum has a huge political section (which actually moves too fast for anyone with a job to keep up with) and they seem to do OK.

Dam Blob, ur a Nubee now...

Notice my post count dropped by........1

I am politically inept. (and I really don't know what inept means, it just sounds like it should follow the word political)

Sounds like someone who spends most of his time in the PV section.

Political forums = more posts = more $ for advertising = good business.
