Postons 400

I'm needing a new tranny and was wondering if this transmission is good for street use as well as strip? I drive the car almost every day. If I got my 2004r rebuilt it would cost as much or more than this 400 so what should I do? Also the 400 doesnt have OD so is that why they recomend the gear swap? thanks Jerrad
