Are there any potential problems whern putting in a turbo 400 into a brand new motor that hasn't ben fully broken in yet?

My motor has only had some hard pull on the dnyo and that's it. But that was all with the 200 4r. It has since been sold and i will be putting the Th400 soon.

My big worry is the thrust bearing.

Any ideas or personally experiences.

Search for the line pressure thread and front pump mod. I had them saved but am on a different computer right now. If not modded correctly it will trash your new motor quickly.

if you are talking about the 40psi restriction , then yes i do know everything about that.

I was jsut curious if there may be any other harm in putting a th400 behind the new motor. I cannot thin kof anything, but what do i know.

Oh, I forgot to mention you will get to drive it and beat on it more since you won't have to worry about breaking the 400. Make sure you have a good driveshaft and u-joints. A pro built 200 is great but the 400 is cool too.

no problem, just alot of fun beating up on everything on the street:D..I smoked a porsche 911 twin turbo yesterday..went past him side ways from the lite while spinning tires from first to second...just be sure to put a good tranny cooler on your car and that's it..I run two units on mine...

That is slightly reassuring to know. I guess i have to wait til the snow clears and the rocks are off the road, and the find those porsche's :)

being you have put the engine thru dyno testing, it's as "broken in" as it's going to get...

Really? I only did about 20 pulls on the dyno and around 10 of them were 19-26lbs pulls. Would that be enough to seat things in?

What about seating the rings in?

runs the engines for 20-30 mins @ 10% load/varying rpms.
Once done w/that, the engine is checked for leaks, valves set, and it's "ballz to the wall"..Done deal.... next engine.
