Power master motor took a dump...

Ahhh... sometimes you just have to take a deep breath as a GN owner... Huh???

Brakes on this car have always been trouble free.. then today get in and about drive thru the garage door!
SURPRISE! no brakes! Nice joke GN...

PM has nothing and the motor is not running and noticed the PM puffing little puffs of smoke and getting hot. Must of locked up.. so I unplugged the power the pulled it back into the long term parking spot...

Can I just get he electrical motor for this unit?

Could a good electrical motor rebuilder locally rebuild on of these?

m233roller was also selling one in the Parts for Sale section. Either way, bring your wallet.. and it better be full.. If you can break the love affair with the PM (some like me still can't ) it'll be much cheaper and safer in the long run.

Join the club! Mine died two days ago... going along fine then the light illuminated and motor quit 2 min later. I'm going hydroboost.

Well Guys, I am just about to jump to the hydro boost band wagon.. but ill give this a whirl for now. I don have a regal donar car with the vac setup on it that I might just yank off if I muster up the enthusiasm.
