Will the power logger read and display the timing delivered to the motor?

Specifically, if timing is adjusted via the MAFT+, will the logger read the adjusted timing,or does the MAFT deliver the timing adjustment downstream from the ECM, thereby not allowing the logger to see this adjustment.

Thanks

It reads the timing the computer runs. So if you adjust it, it will read the correct timing not just the chip timing.

The PL will read correct ECU timing with a MAFT Pro.

The PL will read ECU timing with a MAFT+, you need to mentally correct for your settings.

Thanks TurboBOB,

specifically, answering my question in the manner in which it was asked, if the MAFT+ is used to adjust timing, the logger does NOT see the delivered timing. The pl is displaying the ecu /chip commanded timing, which is then adjusted by the MAFT+ before delivery to the engine, i.e. the DELIVERED timing is downstream from the PL.

QuckyOne- ya gotta read the specifics here....If I am correct, and it appears so, with a MAFT+ used to adjust timing, you are not seeing the timing as delivered to the motor.

Thanks Bob!.....and while I have you here. With the Extender Extreme (60s) and MAFT+, I now have the ability to control fuel and timing with either the chip ORMAFT+. Correct.

Timing control in the chip adjusts low gear only.

TurboBOB,

Got it. And with the new Extender Chip EWO35EIF, I need to change mode #3 to OFF (no limiter). And does #4 remain OFF too?

Just got an answer On On On On....so nevermind. BTW, the dip switch mode is indicated on the front page of the extender chip directions:rolleyes:
