How long do i need to run the drill motor to prime the engine after i have primed the oil pump, did the timing chain thing today had a little trouble getting oil sucked into pump at first ( put oil in radiator oil line in wrong place) when i finally did get it primed the drill got in a bind and i run it like that for about 3-5 min. ( my hand got tired) just asking to see if i did it right or not thanks

oil is cheap motors are not, make sure you did it right. with 3-4 qts in the pan turn the drill counterclockwise with a quart of oil held upside down ofver the upper line into the radiator. the oil container top for diff fluid works great and will creare enough of a seal to suck the oil container into nithing. then hook the line back up and spin clockwise till you get oil at the rockers in the valve cover. I have done this several times one time it only took maybe 30 seconds others it has been more like 2-3 minutes. just make sure the drill is spinning at at least 600 RMP or so and watch the pressure gauge. if you only have the idiot light it might be worth it to go to the parts store and pick up a cheap autogauge mechanical gauge just to be sure everything is okay.

oh yeah after priming it make sure the oil is full on the dipstick
