Was told all PTE 6466 DBB turbos sold use the new Gen2 CEA wheel...Trying to verify that the 6466 DBB CEA has the Gen 2 wheel....Turbo was purchased last fall from PTE...

Can anyone confirm?

That appears to be the case. 7 blades on the Gen II.

And the part number on the 6466 has not changed.

That looks impressive.

1 more psi of boost could very well add 30hp. Unless they were at the limit of the old wheel. I doubt there is a difference at the 650hp level. The fact is with the new GEN 2 compressors and even when Precision switched over to their 62/66 turbines, everybody wants the latest and greatest, but almost everybody with the old stuff is not pushing them hard enough to see a difference.

I know I've seen 78lbs/ min @2.9:1 with an old 6265. The really old one before it ran out of compressor wheel. I didn't have any wastegate trickery either. It was an internal gate with a .950" bypass. Even had a .63 ex a/r. If those engines they tested were coupled to a stick it looks like they are not even getting to 78lbs/min or just nipping it. If they are automatics then it looks like they are over 80 lbs/min. The test engines are no doubt smaller than our v6's and are capable of making a lot of power at higher rpms

Would their be a drastic spool up difference between an old 6265bb and the new gen2 6266 or 6466 with same combos and converters?

Look closely at the SP data. You will see the gen2 spooled a little bit slower than it's gen1 counterpart.
