PTFE Conductiove Core

wondering if anyone has used the PTFE conductive core Fuel Hose? From what i have heard non-conductive core like the standard PTFE hose conducts static electricity and thats bad for the fuel system. With the condctive core PTFE it gounds the whole system. Wondering if anyone has read about it or used it.

Never heard of conductive core, but I can tell you the PTFE liner will last a whole lot longer than rubber with the E-85

OK, new stuff, good idea !, I am familar with making brake and PS hoses with the stuff, but never the fuel in large qty, seems like a no brainer, just a bit more of an assy challenge than the standard AN SST

I see you went with the standard PTFE.

Stand 20'- $69.80
Condutive Core 20'- $248

Big price difference. I know its piece of mind but still. i did some research but couldn't find any info really. I wonder at what point it becomes a issue and whats the chances of it lighting off due to static build up. I really like the nylon outer that the techafx has.

Being a maintenance electrician at Gm I come across things like this time to time, such as the granular plastic feed system for large injection molders. The static electricity generated from the plastic beads flowing through the feed pipes is significant , but the problem is where there is no metal to ground it like the transition to plastic flex suction & feed hoses. So I read up on this and found that the built up static electricity on the teflon discharges through the teflon lining to the metal braid creating very small pin holes, and the conductive core keeps the whole system grounded so no static charge builds up at all. Do I believe there is a problem with nonconductive hose ? It can't be to much of a problem because nonconductive hose has been out a long time for fuel lines and this is the first I've heard about a problem with it's application . Sam

anyone sell PTFE with the nylon outer without conductive core? hose quality looks so much nicer with the extra outer layer
