Ok. I am very confussed. I was reading Chris's book and it says the clearance between the pump rotor or slide to the body must be more than .001 but not more than .002. Ok this is where i get confused. When you go buy a replacement rotor on the internet or local parts place none of them give you the depth of these parts. I have measured the one I pulled out and I come up with .705". Can I assume all these drop in replacement pump internals are .705? Did GM use this measurement as a standard in new pump construction? Learning about transmissions is something I have always wanted to conquer. Thank You for all the help.
