Cant figure it out,

I have two high dollar trannys with every single part you could ever wish for, and neither shifts as good as my Dads stocker with just a shift kit, no comparison at all.

Dont know where I am going wrong.

It's because you haven't raced that Neon yet :p

What's it doing that you don't like? I had a Level10 transmission that shifted as nice as stock, though the 1-2 was really harsh. It was high dollar but it did break (twice). I now have a CK Performance transmission in the car and the 1-2 is very nice and not as harsh (no ringing driveshaft on the 2-1 downshift either). The 2-3 feels funny (not bad funny, just different) at part throttle. At WOT it's amazing - shifts are very firm and very quick. I think once you go messing with them to beef them up for racing you lose some of the stock (part throttle) characteristics - one of those trade-offs you make to go fast.

The tranny seems to flair on the 1-2 and the 2-3 shift, not quick and crisp like I would like. Going to pull the pan see if I dropped a governor spring. It has shifted like this since new.

My other tranny build by differnt place is just doing weird stuff, it seems confused when you mash it? It has been awhile since I ran it so, cant quite remember what is was doing, but was not right, so I yanked it and put in my spare.

I guess Im Just bummed at the problems I have had. Warranty is not a option for me, it costs me a fortune to ship stuff out and back.

As far as who built the trannies, I really dont want to get into that. They are good outfits im sure, but I must of gotten the rare case of one with issues.

Seems to happen with everything I have had done on this car.

no problem.if you use vendors here(at turbobuick.com) youd would definately be getting your questions answered by the company who built it.all here are reputable.sounds like a tv cable or valve body issue
