Is it a fair practice for a vendor to indicate when ordering that an item is available(per website), then eventually inform the customer thru email (but only after I sent an email to find out whats going on) that the item is on back order and may be available in 10 or more days? Oh yeah, and is it also fair for that same vendor charge the credit card knowing that he does not have the item in stock? I usually get carried away in these matters so before I name the vendor I would like to hear if u guys think its fair or not.

Web sites can somethimes be hard to keep updated. BUT they should never charge if the part is not availble unless they talk to you first.

You don't have to name the vendor. It was ME! At the time you ordered I was told by my supplier that they were available. Well, there was a problem with a couple pipes that the manufacturer had to fix and the remaining stock was spoken for so your order WAS delayed. Yes, your card was charged when the order was placed, that is just the way my shopping cart is set up.

I am not just a vendor but also a customer with many different vendors unrelated to my business venture. (which is a part time job) I am NOT a Summit Racing or Jegs with tons of employess but do feel I probably give better customer service than them. De to the nature of supplying custom parts there can be delays on delivery of some items. As soon as I get an order I pay my suppliers and also pay up front for all the materials for my cold air kits, etc. I can put all sorts of stuff on the site about possible delays for some items but RARELY does anyone even read it. BTW, there is now a paragraph for possible delays on the downpipes.

Personally, I have never worried about someone charging my card when ordering something but I will gladly refund your order in full or if you want to wait for the downpipe I will pay you the interest charge on your order for the few weeks it will take to get it from when ordered.

I am sure there are plenty of you out there that can vouch for my business ethics and customer service.

Let me be the first to vouch for Mark, his customer service, his cold air kit and Kevins great engraving..... all A+++++. He even stepped up and posted before you said his name - Wish all the vendors i've dealt with were as easy to deal with as him.

I had a little problem with a part I ord'd from him and he really stepped up and made it good. I always consider him first when buying parts.

BTW, not trying to sound pissy or anything but been up since 4 AM as I had to go into the "REAL" job I have early today. Then I read this and got a bit riled. Anywho, Brer, let me know what you want to do. Going out for some pizza and beer. Everyone have a pleasant evening.

mark, i have several transactions with you and you operate top notch service, even called me when i orderd some of my overlays to tell me i orderd some ttype stuff and turbo T stuff.. which was a type-o on my part.
he took the xtra steps to make sure i got what i really wanted..

Thanks Mark !!

A+ Guy Enough Said.

Couldn't say it better.

Down pipe problem wasn't his fault, mine if anyone is to blame. We didn't expect to go thru 60 down pipes in 6 weeks. There were days when 5 to 6 left out of here. After 20 years you would think everyone of these cars would of had 1 by now.
After 3 weeks we ordered 30 more,a week later we ordered another 30.
My web guy is on vacation.Updating the site & keeping items in stock isn't easy.
Good news is that our manufacturer has always deliverd sooner then expected. We were told 2 weeks max.

Same Here

I order from Mark an hit the wrong key but he made sure I got what I needed to finish the car!! Would buy for me or one of my customers again. A++++

The intent of this post was not not to get u riled up, but more to see how others felt before I got out of line. As I stated in the email the big deal for me and my buddy was to get the pipe before the Iowa meet. Just for the hell of it, my buddy was concerned that your website does not have a contact phone number at which point I more or less assured him that we would be fine, that the vendors dont burn the Buick guys. So we ordered and when after 2 weeks and no pipe with no word any normal person would be concerned. A quick phone call to my cell that I provided at the time of purchase and in the email would have cleared this up with no problem. I see u have called other customers so that cant be too much to ask. Maybe u can call me when U ship it out. Thanx.
