I'm in the process of selling my 8.5 and going to a 9 inch Ford rear end from quick performance. I'm looking around for deals on wilwood or other after market rear disc brake options. I can go with quick performance disc brake setup or save 350 bucks and invest that in a better brake kit as I would like to get a better brake caliper to hold boost at the line.

Any idea what brake kit I would need or what the brake offset I should be looking for is? I'm seeing a few good deals on brake kits on marketplace for 9 inch fords but I'm not sure exactly what I should be looking for..

You won't be saving that much trying to source a different brake setup when you can get a Wilwood setup for + $580 to the total of the complete rearend . Also you know it will be right the first time . My Quick Performance rearend was perfect and I had it narrowed 1.5" each side with a Wave Trac differential , 35 spline axles .

Anyone know if they ever changed their lower shock mount setup?
On mine, purchased 2 or 3 years ago, the lower mounts were at an incorrect angle and bound up the suspension. I had to make and weld on angled adaptors to make it work correctly. When I brought it to their attention, they told me they never had any complaints.
I have before and after pics.
The rest of the deal was perfect, including price and quality on the rest of the system, except for lead time.
Anyone purchase one lately?
I believe that I posted pics a year or 2 ago.

Yesir,,just did mine in October ,,and NO the lower mount angle is still off. My braintrust came up with an interesting spherical bushing at that lower bolt/mount for the issue,,looks great and everything seems to work as it should. I know pictures would be nice ,,but the GrandCamino is tucked away currently.

I made steel bushings from round barstock and cut the end at an angle (I'll look it up, I made extras) then welded the stock stud to it and the lower mount. I think it was around a 23° angle.
When I called them, they said that they never had any questions or complaints about it, but when I posted a few years ago, several replies indicated that others had contacted them about that issue years before I did.
