quick question on atr uppipe gasket

I just bought an atr uppipe at bowling green and it didnt come with the copper gasket that goes in between the turbo & uppipe. Is the copper gasket necessary or could i go to like advanced auto and get a felpro soft type gasket?

I would use the copper gasket. The fiber gasket will not last long.
