Sound Performance Quick Spool Valve Sound Performance Online

Though a bit pricey you just need a Hobbs to tell the actuator when to fully open.

You'll need a twin scroll turbo housing which means a T4 header collector flange for us.

The Quick Spool Flange is 3/4" thick so probably a custom longer DP would be needed also.

Check out the Supra with the Gt45 Dyno Chart ( 3rd one ), madd mid range pick up in power.

Billet 71 turbo's for all

Faster spool and more boost there is a good read on people making DIY type setups.......... be warned that thread is VERY long lol. I have a friend putting together a 402ci lq9 blocked car with twin s380 turbos I think we are going to run blocked housings with it.

I have yet to see any buick guys playing around with anything like this.

Looks like something i seen before...:D

Norbs did you make something like this in the past?

This along with Billet Comp Wheels are going to demolish E.T. records.

This still seems like a band-aid to me. A lot of those guys are using MASSIVE turbos (one talked about a 1.34 AR!?!?) on engines that are NOT going to be able to use it.

As far as ET records go, the turbo should be spooled at the line anyway to the launch pressure.....It seems that this would hold very little benefit for drag racing. But then again, maybe I am totally off base, I will let someone else try it because I just bought a 3-bolt flange to make a set of headers with

Turbo size is a relation to the power you want or need to make and the housing size is a factor. What housing size do you think a single turbo 454 should use running 7000rpm?

I think you're missing the point of the flange, I see you're running a TE44 so let's use that as an example. TE44 is good to about high 10's and spools well. You want more power but don't want to kill the 60ft or 1/8th, run the flange above on a Billet 62 and see what happens. Most likely a car that will run high 9's and potentially offer a BETTER 60ft ( suspension will need to handle more power ). That flange will for sure spool it on the trans or foot brake much FASTER so you can actually leave with boost on the green light.

This is nothing new. Import guys have done this for a while. How do you think they get higher intake pressures than exhaust backpressure? Thats how. Divided housing with the flow diverted through half the scroll for spoolup and a very large a/r. This is not cost effective on most street applications or worthwhile if cost is not a factor. You can have a really good spooling setup and still break the stock block very easily with the power made from the tiny turbos most of the guys on this board run.

I'll have some data for you in a few weeks on this...if it works or not.

Spool

Oh,if Larry @ Sound performance sells it ,it`ll work .He and his guys are among the best out there.
Problem with all this bigger turbo and more horsepower for the Buicks is the BLOCK far as i can tell.
I wish i had a way to put my supra motor in my T-Type,lol.

I will worry about the block later......l'm more worried about the hp right now.

If Norby had his hand in it, nothing.

This would be an ideal piece to add to the ISAC's window switch feature.
